Kia ora matua me tou whanau. I have had the pleasure of visiting your marae on more than one occassion. I would like to thank the whanau for my most recent visit. It was an awe inspiring pleasure for our whanau (Black Power Wellington) to utilise Taputeranga for a recent visit by our whanau from Raupunga and Frasertown. There purpose in visiting was the revival of our(Black Power/Mangukaha) focus on sports. They brought with them two netball teams and a league team. We as a whanau are not normally given credit for positive activities yet as you know, we are doing our best to instill a sense of pride in being maori and things maori. It was evident to us all that we are heading in the right direction and it is only progressed with the awhi and tautoko of whanau/marae such as yours. Please pass on to all involved in Taputeranga warm thanks on behalf of Black Power Wellington and indeed from our whanau from Raupunga and Frasertown. We were indeed inspired by your passion for change and utilising te ao maori for this to happen. Mauri Ora kia koutou!

I think maori have a high opinion of themselves.
although I couldn't understand maori's cultures,tatoo and mythologe
anyway I was so impressed they still love their ancestors and country.
thanks

Hello Bruce,
I was surprised, what a beautiful place it was. You have a very friendly daughter (Pare) and she knew so much about maori culture. I was impressed und enjoyed the visit a lot. Thank you.

Tapu Te Ranga Marae is an art treasure. The Maori culture should be more extended, and people make more effort to preserve it.
